Mommy Approved: How To Wear Cut Off Shorts

So I know everyone is going to want to wear cut off shorts this summer. For one its hot especially in California and two they are trending. I don't want this statement to turn heads but I don't want to see moms out with their kids and their butt hanging out of these cut off shorts. Its just not right! The only expectation I will say is at the beach because more than likely majority of your body will be out in a swim suit. But I don't want to see you at the park, the grocery store, doctor's appointments.......with your butt hanging out the bottom of your shorts. We are not in high school so don't worry about it being "fingertip" length but its always good to be conservative when you are taking your kids out. Mommy Approved Crop Top Outfits

So being a mommy of two energetic little boys I don't want to have to worry about my clothes on a play date. I get mommies telling me all the time how they cant wear certain things especially while out with their kids. Since its so warm in California, crop tops get brought up all the time to me. "I have to much belly", "Girl these stretch marks", or "I just don't know how to wear them without feeling naked"........LOL yes these are the comments I get. And while yes they are valid concerns ladies you can still wear crop tops. Trust me! Here is the secret......*whisper*......wear a lower crop top with a high waisted bottom. Boyfriend Jeans & Chunky Ankle Boots

This really has to be my most favorite colleague that I have done so far this year. I LOVE everything piece in it! Those shoes are giving me so much life! Do you agree? This outfit can be worn day or night. When I see women dressed like this running errands or shopping at H&M, it really inspires me to look at my wardrobe and step up my style game.
I paired these boyfriend jeans with a cream and black blouse. I have been a hat fan for the LONGEST time but I don't actually own any. I guess I can never see myself just randomly wearing one with my type of lifestyle. But I think I'm going to finally do it because when I try them on it just feels right! Throw on some gold jewelry, berry colored lipstick and a cute leopard bag! And under that awesome hat has to be amazing hair for when you take off the hat. That cut and color.....LIFE!!!!
Truth is I recently got a relaxer........yes I said it a relaxer! I have been post relaxer for 2 years now but honestly for me it was not the healthiest for my hair or me. I really don't like doing my own hair because its so thick and since I try to keep a budget for myself I rather not pay someone to do it when I don't want to. So I ended up getting a Olive Oil relaxer and my hair feels 10x better. I have had it for a little short of a week and I have not had to do anything to it.......and it feels GREAT! It has saved me so much time during my day just from not having to straight it or twist. I have found a great you-tuber for relaxed hair but she keeps it so healthy. How To Stay Comfy

I had a busy week last week. I get to take an exam for a great job that I have been waiting for. As you know I have been laid off since last October. Not to bad but I have definitely been wanting to earn more money. Then on Saturday I have a training class for the internship I'm doing at my oldest son's school. So being that I will be sitting in a classroom setting for both of these I want to be extremely comfortable. Both are 2 hours! Yikes! A lot of moms are in school too so that can mean exams and trainings as well. Above is a comfortable stylish outfit that you can not go wrong with. You don't want to be taking a test or having to listen to someone talk for 2 hours and having to worry about not wearing comfortable clothing. And to be comfortable does not mean sweats or velour suits!

These days in California it has been fairly warm, around 70-75 degrees. Today is actually almost 80! So, you have a nice dark wash jean with cuffs that you can relax in and still feel chic. A cute peplum top and a cardigan to take on and off just in case its chilly in the building. Cute printed flats to spice up your outfit. A nice over sized bag to throw your cardigan in and any supplies you may need.

Denim & Trends

Its BBQ time!!!! Memorial Day weekend is coming up fast and I know you fashionistas are already preparing outfits. Well I have a few that I would love to share with you! Since I have two little boys I like to be comfy when I am out at gatherings. I love looking cute but I'm not going to lie comfort definitely comes first in my book! *Two finger snaps* LOL

The first outfit is a lightweight sweater, denim distressed shorts, oxfords, and cool pair of Ray Ban shades. It could be used for a cooler day or night time bbq. The middle look is a bright yellow maxi dress, denim vest, cross body bag, and cute sandals. This look is so breezy and cool, it could even be worn on the beach. The last outfit I think is my new fav look. So full of awesome trends for this spring and summer. The denim jumper, cropped tank, lightweight scarf, and white converse. I would wear this all the time!!!

I got this tank dress at H&M and I still haven't worn it. So I was thinking of wearing it this weekend! I have to admit its a little out of my comfort zone but that was my aim. I am looking forward to seeing how I style this awesome rock star dress!!
