Wednesday Chicest Woman

So I started interning at the same Head Start school my oldest son attends and I find it to be very interesting to say the least. I never pictured myself working around kids but the more and more I am there its growing on me. I recently met a stylish teacher that works the morning class. I really think that she is an effortlessly chic type of person. The type that can put essential pieces together and make them look she stepped out of a magazine. So with that being sad I just had to put her on the blog. No, she does not have kids of her own but she works with the everyday and loves her job!
Here are a few of her favorite looks and a few questions I asked her....Enjoy!

1. How would you describe your style? My style is pretty sporadic. I guess I would say I dress from business chic to bohemian chic. Sometimes I'll dress in darker clothes with darker makeup and go through a gothic/punk faze but it really just depends on how I feel like dressing that day.

 2. What are your favorite brands or stores? Since my style is kind of crazy and all over the place I tend to shop at a lot of different stores and they vary in price ranges from high end to bargain stores. My favorite stores/brands would be Armani, Zara, Bebe, Free People, Urban Outfitters, H&M, Forever21, Hollister/Abercrombie, Express, Nordstrom, Charrlotte Russe, Pacsun/SunDiego, TJMax/Marshall's.

 3. What are your 5 must have pieces or products you can't live without? 1. my Hollister jeans 2. my long bohemian green skirt (I've had since middle school graduation) 3. my snake ring I never take it off 4. my Chanel earrings 5. black pointed pumps

4. What's your go to outfit if all else fail? jumpsuit, blazer, black pumps

How To Stay Comfy

How To Stay Comfy

I had a busy week last week. I get to take an exam for a great job that I have been waiting for. As you know I have been laid off since last October. Not to bad but I have definitely been wanting to earn more money. Then on Saturday I have a training class for the internship I'm doing at my oldest son's school. So being that I will be sitting in a classroom setting for both of these I want to be extremely comfortable. Both are 2 hours! Yikes! A lot of moms are in school too so that can mean exams and trainings as well. Above is a comfortable stylish outfit that you can not go wrong with. You don't want to be taking a test or having to listen to someone talk for 2 hours and having to worry about not wearing comfortable clothing. And to be comfortable does not mean sweats or velour suits!
These days in California it has been fairly warm, around 70-75 degrees. Today is actually almost 80! So, you have a nice dark wash jean with cuffs that you can relax in and still feel chic. A cute peplum top and a cardigan to take on and off just in case its chilly in the building. Cute printed flats to spice up your outfit. A nice over sized bag to throw your cardigan in and any supplies you may need.
So check it out and let me know what you think.
