Spring Into Floral

I have noticed that floral is really going to be trending this Spring. I've never been the girlie floral type of chick but I have to say I am really excited this year. This awesome Forever 21 picture just gave me life.
I could definitely see myself in this two piece above! This picture is gorgeous even the flowers she's holding. One of my goals this year is to start making my outfits look this effortlessly chic. I love effortless stylish looks.
Here are a few more floral looks I love from Forever 21. Enjoy.....go shopping!

Funky Fun Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!! I just love Fridays because my husband normally gets off early and we can start our weekend. This week I have learned a big lesson......one that I already knew but this week my vision was open to it even more. The lesson is " You cant let people run your life". Whatever you do or want to do you have to do it for you!

With that being said on a note about doing what you want within your own style....I met a great spouse and mom with a unique style. She is so cute! I just had to put her on the blog because she is a go with the flow type of person when it comes to her style. She likes to dress with her mood and try all different types of styles. She has also recently done the big chop(cut hair) so she is a naturalista like myself.  Here are a few photos and a style interview. Enjoy!

 1. How would you describe your style?  I’m not sure if there is any way to describe my style. I dress the way I’m feeling at the moment. I’m really into bohemian, urban and hipster styles.

2. What are your favorite brands or stores? My favorite store is probably H&m right now because we don't have one back home. I love being able to run in there and get an outfit for pretty much any occasion.
3. What are your 5 must have pieces your can't live without? Earrings definitely number 1, eyeliner, lip gloss, now that I’m rocking my fro after my big chop a headband LOL & a little black dress .

4. What's your go to outfit if all else fail? My go to outfit if all else fails is definitely tight fitting jeans or tights with a nice shirt and a nice scarf with boots or flats. Comfortable and cute!

It's My Blogiversary!!!!

(Singing) "Do you know what today is? It's my Blogiversary......its my blogiversary!"
I can not believe that's its been one whole year since I have been blogging. No I am no where near where I want to be but I am proud of myself for branching out. I have discovered that this is something I really love and this year I'm for sure going to make the best of it. I am much wiser about the blogging world. I have a few things in store for this year also. My camera is going to be my best friend. My style has grown and I am starting to find my signatures and other bloggers are actually starting to notice me.

5 Goals for My Blog
1. Take pictures with scenery
2. Do haul videos
3. Make a Facebook page
4. Blog often
5. Network!

I am going to try to accomplish one goal  per month for the next five months. Wish me Luck!

Wednesday Chicest Woman

So I started interning at the same Head Start school my oldest son attends and I find it to be very interesting to say the least. I never pictured myself working around kids but the more and more I am there its growing on me. I recently met a stylish teacher that works the morning class. I really think that she is an effortlessly chic type of person. The type that can put essential pieces together and make them look she stepped out of a magazine. So with that being sad I just had to put her on the blog. No, she does not have kids of her own but she works with the everyday and loves her job!
Here are a few of her favorite looks and a few questions I asked her....Enjoy!

1. How would you describe your style? My style is pretty sporadic. I guess I would say I dress from business chic to bohemian chic. Sometimes I'll dress in darker clothes with darker makeup and go through a gothic/punk faze but it really just depends on how I feel like dressing that day.

 2. What are your favorite brands or stores? Since my style is kind of crazy and all over the place I tend to shop at a lot of different stores and they vary in price ranges from high end to bargain stores. My favorite stores/brands would be Armani, Zara, Bebe, Free People, Urban Outfitters, H&M, Forever21, Hollister/Abercrombie, Express, Nordstrom, Charrlotte Russe, Pacsun/SunDiego, TJMax/Marshall's.

 3. What are your 5 must have pieces or products you can't live without? 1. my Hollister jeans 2. my long bohemian green skirt (I've had since middle school graduation) 3. my snake ring I never take it off 4. my Chanel earrings 5. black pointed pumps

4. What's your go to outfit if all else fail? jumpsuit, blazer, black pumps

How To Stay Comfy

How To Stay Comfy

I had a busy week last week. I get to take an exam for a great job that I have been waiting for. As you know I have been laid off since last October. Not to bad but I have definitely been wanting to earn more money. Then on Saturday I have a training class for the internship I'm doing at my oldest son's school. So being that I will be sitting in a classroom setting for both of these I want to be extremely comfortable. Both are 2 hours! Yikes! A lot of moms are in school too so that can mean exams and trainings as well. Above is a comfortable stylish outfit that you can not go wrong with. You don't want to be taking a test or having to listen to someone talk for 2 hours and having to worry about not wearing comfortable clothing. And to be comfortable does not mean sweats or velour suits!
These days in California it has been fairly warm, around 70-75 degrees. Today is actually almost 80! So, you have a nice dark wash jean with cuffs that you can relax in and still feel chic. A cute peplum top and a cardigan to take on and off just in case its chilly in the building. Cute printed flats to spice up your outfit. A nice over sized bag to throw your cardigan in and any supplies you may need.
So check it out and let me know what you think.
