Ever since I can remember people have been thinking that military families have so much money. Being a Marine Corps spouse I know the truth......and that's far from it. We are just like any other middle class family but obviously with a different set of sacrifices. We have great resources to help us out because of those sacrifices. A lot of families surprisingly don't know about them. My family and I have definitely been through our share of hard times. Now that I have been laid off for a few months I have learned to budget so much better and take advantage of the resources that are available for my family. So today I would love to share them with you all. More than half of my readers are military spouses so this information could really help a family. 

A few days ago I was introduced to a company called Credit Card Insider. They have so many resources for military families to keep them responsible with their credit score. For debts that the service member has incurred prior to service the interest rate drops to at maximum 6%. Our biggest problem was student loans from college that we are still paying off almost 10 years later. With the dropped interest rate it has helped us pay more than before.This service also includes debts incurred jointly with a spouse. There are resources to help with residential and motor vehicle purchases and leases. We got our first car through this resource and it has help us out tremendously. There is also help with preventing foreclosures and evictions.
